Cambria Driveway & Pavers: The Jacksonville Owner’s Guide
If you have a Cambria paver driveway or walkway in Jacksonville and a section has cracked, settled, or lifted, we stock Cambria-compatible pavers and can typically match your existing pattern and color. An installed driveway paver repair in Jacksonville runs $7,000 – $18,000 for a full replacement and $350 – $1,200 for spot repairs. Most owners notice the failure the same way: a paver rocks underfoot after a heavy rain, or a corner of the driveway dips where the sand base has washed out.
We are an independent Jacksonville contractor and not affiliated with Cambria. That independence matters when you need honest advice about whether a repair makes sense or a full reset is the better long-term call. Graham Stein has walked enough Jacksonville paver jobs to know the difference between a paver problem and a base problem, and the fix is not the same.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria is primarily known for quartz countertops, but their hardscape line includes concrete pavers and coping sold through select Florida dealers. The pavers we see most often across Jacksonville are the 60mm and 80mm interlocking units in the Cambridge and Bristol profiles. Those two thicknesses matter: 60mm pavers are pedestrian-rated and hold up on walkways and pool decks, while 80mm pavers are the driveway-rated product. A lot of driveway failures in Jacksonville start with 60mm pavers laid where 80mm belongs.
You can identify what you have by pulling one paver from an edge and measuring the thickness with a tape measure. The Cambria stamp on the underside will also list the manufacturing date code. When we match a repair, we want that stamp photo. Color lots shift between production runs, so we order from the closest matching batch rather than promising a seamless blend. For older jobs where the exact Cambria color is discontinued, we stock quality aftermarket equivalents in the same profile dimensions from Silestone and Kohler hardscape partners, plus KraftMaid trim profiles for edge restraint. The goal is a driveway that reads as one surface to the eye, not a patchwork.

Signs Your Cambria Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Rocking or wobbly pavers underfoot. The bedding sand underneath has washed out or compacted unevenly, usually after heavy Jacksonville summer rain or a drainage change. If one paver rocks, the surrounding units are starting to move too.
- Standing water pooling in a low spot. Jacksonville’s flat lots and sudden downpours expose base problems fast. Water that sits on pavers for more than an hour after rain is working its way under the surface and eroding the sand base.
- Gaps opening between pavers. Edge restraint failure lets the whole field spread outward. You will see the widest gaps along the driveway edges first, then cracks where tire loads push loose pavers apart.
- Efflorescence that will not stop coming back. White mineral staining is normal on new concrete pavers, but recurring blooms after two years point to trapped moisture. In Jacksonville humidity, that means a drainage or base-compaction problem underneath.
- Settled corners near downspouts or the garage apron. Water from a roof downspout or the sloped garage floor carries fines out of the base over time. The pavers sink exactly where that water exits, and the fix is never just re-leveling the surface stones.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

A full Cambria-compatible paver driveway replacement in Jacksonville runs $7,000 – $18,000 installed. Spot repairs run $350 – $1,200 depending on how many pavers are salvaged and how much base correction is needed. The range is driven by square footage, paver thickness, access (a fenced backyard walkway takes longer than a front driveway), and how much of the old base we can re-compact instead of hauling away. We give you a written price before any work starts, with materials named and the labor broken into stages. No allowance line items, no surprises after the crew arrives.
The price includes excavation of the failed area or full driveway, new compacted base, bedding sand, replacement pavers, edge restraint, and polymeric joint sand. The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every completed project: if the repair settles, stains, or fails within a year, we come back and make it right. We also send a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves, so you can see the job site was left the way we would want our own driveway left. Paver Driveway Installation and Driveway Replacement are both services we handle start to finish.
DIY or Call Us?
There are two checks you can do safely without touching a paver. First, find your downspouts and confirm they discharge at least three feet from the driveway edge. Second, take photos of the failed area after a heavy rain so we can see how water moves across the surface. Those photos tell us more than a dry-day inspection ever will.
What we do not recommend is pulling and re-setting pavers yourself. Re-setting a single paver without fixing the base underneath just moves the problem to the neighbors on either side. The base work means removing the field, re-compacting in lifts with a plate compactor, and re-screeding the bedding sand level. Get that wrong and the driveway looks fine for a month and then fails worse. This is not a high-tension part like a garage spring, but it is heavy, repetitive work that can strain a back fast. If you are not set up for it, call us at (904) 643-6243 and we will send Graham or a member of his crew to look at the job. Estimates are free.
FAQs

A properly installed Cambria-compatible paver driveway lasts 25 – 30 years in Jacksonville, with the sand joints re-topped every 2 – 3 years. The Florida heat and summer rains do not wear out the pavers themselves; they wear out the base and the joint sand, which is why yearly gutter and drainage checks matter more than anything else you do. If your pavers are failing at year five or seven, the issue is almost always base preparation, not the product. Call (904) 643-6243 for an exact assessment, free.
Yes, we repair sections of Cambria pavers when the failure is localized and the surrounding base is still sound. The honest caveat: color matching against a sun-aged driveway is less exact, so a repaired section may read slightly darker for the first year before it weathers in. For edge failures and downspout settlements, a section repair is usually the right call. If the base has failed across half the field, patching becomes more expensive than a clean replacement. We will tell you which one you are looking at, in writing, before any work starts.
A spot repair of 50 square feet or less is usually a one-day job. A full driveway reset runs two to three days, depending on access and how much old base needs to be hauled out. We name the day the crew arrives and the day they finish in the written scope, and we work around your children’s school hours and quiet times where possible. If the dumpster or material delivery has to land on your driveway, we tell you that day in advance too.
We stock the common 60mm and 80mm Cambria-compatible profiles in neutral Jacksonville colors, so most spot repairs can be quoted and finished quickly. Discontinued colors or larger full-driveway quantities get ordered from our hardscape partners, which adds a few days but gives us the closest available batch match. We also stock trim and edge restraint hardware, so a repair is not held up waiting on a single part. Call us at (904) 643-6243 with your paver stamp photo and we can tell you what is in stock right now.
